Speak Louder than Words (part 1)

Open your mouth and profess a promise:
hope!
What does that look like?
What does that sound like?
like a bird, eyes closed in a soar
like a bird, chirping in the storm
open your mouth, release this bird
because words won’t lift its wings
because hope will speak louder.

Utter a phrase and inspire the injured:
rise!
what does that touch like?
what does that feel like?
like a rain drop that covers like a mother
like a rain drop that falls into a valley
close the umbrella, drown and immerse
because rain won’t flood this town
because rain will speak louder.
