GOD hates firefighters

The siren chariots battle the flame
ash compounds the sun-soaked plains
embers blaze a trail to the Kingdom
the firefighters quell the complaints.

The heat cleanses the leper
clothes singed by a wardrobe spark
third degree pales in comparison
the firefighters salve the dark.

The orange illuminates the night
red glare celebrates the freedom
explosions spread like brush fire armies
the firefighters contain the galaxy’s stardom.

The tinder succumbs to the log
like humility bows to the Lord
smoke is incense filling the Heavens
the firefighters douse the one accord.
