Open your eyes, prune your sight
observe the skies, deduce the height
leaves of spring, foliage of fog
loosen the sting, trample the bog.

Forest of pleas, autumn the wind
unsettled the breeze, branches’ sway begin
roots of confusion, trunk of disconcern
man of intrusion, man can’t discern.

Rings of growth, bark the bite
judgment has both, error of oversight
speck in thee, log in mine
I am tree, thou art blind.
